AVRPascalDbg - Licence & Terms ============================== Last updated: 2026-05-02 1. General ---------- AVRPascalDbg is a software debugging tool developed and distributed by Andrzej Karwowski. This document describes the licensing terms and general conditions of use of AVRPascalDbg. Sales and payment processing are handled by the Merchant of Record. 2. Licence Type --------------- AVRPascalDbg is distributed under a perpetual licence model. A valid licence grants the right to use all AVRPascalDbg versions released within the licence update window without any functional limitations. These versions remain fully licensed forever. Versions released after the end of the update window operate in DEMO mode with functional limitations. 3. Update Window ---------------- The update window is time-limited and based on release dates: - The update window starts at the release date of the current version at the time of purchase. - The update window ends 12 months after the purchase date, rounded to the end of the month. This ensures that users do not lose update coverage if the current version was released significantly before the purchase date. Renewal of the update window is optional and does not affect previously licensed versions. 4. Licence File --------------- Licences are delivered as a '.LIC' file sent via email. No user accounts are required. Licence ownership is identified internally by a licence GUID. Renewals of the update window never change the licence owner or contact details. Any changes to licence ownership or contact information are handled manually on request. 5. Permitted Use ---------------- Personal licences are intended for individual users and may be used on any number of personal devices. The software may be used for both non-commercial and commercial projects, subject to the scope of the purchased licence. 6. Restrictions ---------------- The software constitutes a copyrighted work under applicable copyright law. The licence grants the right to use the work, not ownership. Redistribution of the software, licence files, or derived commercial debugging tools is not permitted without explicit permission. Use of the software shall comply with applicable law, including international law. 7. Availability and Sales Limits -------------------------------- Licence availability may be limited due to administrative or operational constraints. Renewal options may also be temporarily unavailable, even if listed on the website. 8. Refunds and Payments ----------------------- Payments and taxes are handled by the Merchant of Record. Refunds may be issued in case of technical issues preventing normal use of the software or incorrect orders. Refund requests should be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Refund processing is handled via the Merchant of Record. For licence delivery or technical issues, please contact the author directly via email. 9. Warranty and Liability ------------------------- AVRPascalDbg is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The author makes no guarantees regarding fitness for a particular purpose, reliability in safety-critical systems, or uninterrupted operation. In no event shall the author be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the software. Before purchasing a licence, the user has the opportunity to evaluate the software using the DEMO version, which allows assessment of its functionality and limitations. Purchasing a licence constitutes acceptance of the software in its current state. 10. Governing Law ----------------- This licence and its interpretation are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland. 11.
